Initiating the Conversation with AAPIs
It can be difficult to initiate a conversation about mental health, especially within the Asian American community, where a lot of stigma surrounds that topic. We created various infographics on tips that can help with those first few words of communication with Asian American parents, as well as a short tutorial!
Several of these tips address various obstacles when initiating the conversation, such as existing religious views with mental health. Additionally, we have created a list of mental health resources for Asian American communities. This list contains several categories, including general AAPI organizations and ethnic-specific organizations.
